Commercial Director
As Commercial Director, Jack oversees the full commercial delivery process, guiding projects from initial tender submissions through procurement, contract negotiation, and post-contract execution. His strategic approach ensures commercial risks are effectively identified, evaluated, and managed, while maintaining strict compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
Jack’s experience spans a wide range of demolition and decommissioning projects, including dismantling operations, scrap removal and recovery, recycling activities, and waste management across industrial, commercial, and residential sites. His commercially focused leadership supports the smooth, efficient, and compliant delivery of projects throughout the business, ensuring clients receive a reliable and solutions-driven service.

Demolition Director
Dave is widely respected across the demolition industry for his comprehensive knowledge of demolition methodologies and his ability to lead complex projects with precision. With over 40 years of experience, he oversees both the commercial and operational management of multiple contracts, guiding projects from procurement and tendering through to final account.
He conducts regular site visits and works closely with the Commercial Director, design teams, and clients to ensure programmes, safety plans, quality documentation, and technical drawings are fully coordinated. Dave manages the planning and sequencing of works, supports site staff and direct labour, and ensures all operations meet the highest standards of safety and quality. His meticulous approach continues to reinforce the company’s reputation for delivering reliable, compliant, and client-focused demolition solutions.

Health & Safety Director
Julian has a proven track record in effective health and safety management and is a natural leader known for strengthening company-wide safety culture. He applies extensive regulatory knowledge and strong commercial awareness to ensure that investment in health and safety delivers clear operational value.
As Health & Safety Director, Julian shapes and implements the company’s safety strategy, overseeing compliance, risk management, and performance across all projects. He drives continuous improvement, ensures regulatory adherence, and proactively mitigates risks through detailed assessments and best-practice implementation. His experience across diverse demolition and earthworks projects provides HCD with a deep understanding of potential hazards and effective control measures.

Business Development Manager
With nearly 20 years of experience in the demolition industry, Alison brings extensive sector knowledge and strategic expertise to her role at HCD. She is responsible for identifying and tracking future opportunities, ensuring the company stays ahead of market trends and maintaining a strong pipeline of work.
Alison leads the preparation of PQQs and tenders, working closely with project teams to deliver thorough, competitive submissions. She also manages all marketing and communications, overseeing digital content, branding, and PR to ensure HCD’s capabilities and achievements are consistently and effectively promoted.

Contracts Manager
Ian is a highly skilled Contracts Manager with nearly 40 years of experience in the demolition industry. His background spans site management, design engineering, consultancy, and health & safety, giving him a comprehensive understanding of complex project delivery. He specialises in large‑scale workforce planning, risk mitigation, and financial oversight, ensuring projects remain safe, efficient, and commercially controlled.
Ian has managed major demolition schemes across high‑risk industrial environments, including chemical and petrochemical plants, gas infrastructure, rail assets, and explosive demolition projects. His extensive experience enables him to guide teams through challenging technical demands while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards. Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, he provides technical advice and support to operatives and contractors, ensuring all works meet company standards and project requirements.

Giles is an experienced Earthworks Operations Manager with more than 25 years of specialist expertise spanning horticulture, arboriculture, landscaping, civil engineering, land drainage, utilities, construction and large-scale earthworks. Since joining HCD, Giles has played a key role in overseeing earthworks strategy, operational planning, contract management and high-value project delivery across the company’s national portfolio. His leadership ensures technical compliance, cost efficiency and seamless integration of earthworks with demolition, remediation and enabling works.
